Die Arien für Mezzo-Sopran beinhalten neben Standardliteratur auch einige weniger bekannte Kompositionen. Positiv finde ich, dass von eher leichten (z.B. Che faro senza Euridice) bis hin zu extrem anspruchsvollen Arien (z.B. Una voce poco fa) alles dabei ist - man hat also - gerade als Hobbysänger- Raum, sich zu entwickeln. Zusammen mit der separat erhältlichen Klavierbegleitung kann diese wunderbar einstudieren.
Nachdem ich mit dem Edition-Peters-Mezzosopranalbum total unzufrieden war (oft nicht die originalsprache und noch andere Punkte die mir gar nicht gefielen) habe ich dieses hier bestellt und muss sagen ich bin wirklich begeistert! Eine tolle Sammlung von tollen Arien in jedem Schwierigkeitsgrad - und vorallem in Originalsprache! Meiner Meinung nach wirklich ein Muss, wenn man professionellen Gesang betreibt.Von mir volle Empfehlung!
Für Mezzos ein Muss. (Besser allerdings wären noch Übersetzungen dazu.) Gut: Erläuterungen zum Werk und zur jeweiligen Szene jeder Arie.Gut: vom Barock zur Moderne (20.Jhd)

Ein Muss für jeden Alt oder Mezzosopran!Schön finde ich, dass viele verschiedene Fächer abgedeckt wurden. Vom dramatischen Alt (La Cenerentola) bis zum lyrischen Mezzo (Dido and Aeneas) ist hier wirklich alles zu finden.Was außerdem gelobt werden muss ist, dass alles in der Originalsprache abgedruckt ist (leider nicht selbstverständlich), das wunderbar übersichtliche Notenbild, und die englische Übersetzung für jede Arie am Beginn des Buches (man kann ja nicht alle Sprachen beherrschen).
If you are calling yourself a mezzo soprano but you don't have this book, you are not doing yourself any favors. This book contains a wide variety of the most popular and most widely performed mezzo arias in the repertoire. It even includes arias from some contemporary operas. Like I said, if you are a mezzo, you need this book.
